• I'm trying to finish a tandem and a touring bike. I'm looking for cheap/functional parts where possible.

    I'm after:

    • V-brakes: Any good stiff V-brakes, one pair.
    • Quill stem: 12, 13 or 14cm, 25.4mm clamp.
    • Brake levers: for V-brakes, for mountain bike / town bike, 22.2mm clamp.
    • White grips: for 22.2mm bars. Two pairs.
    • Rolls saddle: White, I need two.
    • 27.2mm seatpost: Silver, at least 27cm long. I need two.
    • Downtube shifters: 7, 8, 9 or 10 speed indexed. I will pair with thumbie-type mounts.
    • Thumbie mounts for D/T shifters: I may just have to buy these from SJS....
    • Security skewers: WITH THE KEY PLEASE. Haha.
    • Bottle cages: x2, Black or silver, simple, cheap.
    • Camelbak Podium bottle: In case anyone has a spare.
    • 42t 130BCD chainring: For 7/8/9 speed. Anything 39-44t will be fine.
    • 50t 110BCD chainring: For 7/8/9 speed. Anything 48-50t will be fine.
    • 7 speed Shimano cassette: Largest sprocket between 25-28t.
    • Compressionless brake housing: I will probably just buy this from a shop.
  • RE: "27.2mm seatpost: Silver, at least 27cm long"

I think this checks all your boxes. Got this off a used bike, not sure of the brand.

  • Bump, I still need most of this.

Have found brakes, one of the two seatposts and have decided against the security skewers.

Keen to collect all parts by the weekend, and the rest I'll have to buy new.

  • I have an UNO 27.2mm seatpost which I think is about 300mm long. Can't remember if it was originally 350mm and I cut it down to 300mm. This one: https://www.lfgss.com/comments/15268987/

I also have a polished 14cm Cinelli 1A. 26mm clamp, shim down to 25.4mm. Stem shown here at front. I have some proper Velo Orange stainless shims you can have too. Zoom in and you can see them.

  • What security skewers do you want? I have a set of the basic 5-sided hex key style ones. Front, rear and seatpost in black plus key

  • Rather than d/t shifters with thumb mounts, why not some actual thumbs? I definitely have XT, maybe Deore too

  • Thanks you two, I'll PM you both.
