This picture shows Gianni Bugno riding this model of Moser at the 1990 Giro, which he led from start to finish. This was my inspiration for the build I had planned.

Great price and shouldn't be around for long.

Ah. A dream frame for me. Not really in the position for it though

I can confirm this is an utter joy to ride. Also very cheap for what this is.

Ah it's going around!
Shame it was too big for me and had to pass it on -

Prob fit Dura Ace 7400. I have an as new set on a Cougar which I’m reluctant to strip but this is classy.
I missed this about 5 years ago and wanted one since then.

Yours is still with me, front wheel and quill seatpost sorted, next that stem needs attention. Slow burner, but worth waiting for to do it wright :)

I have started the build process. Hack saw will be coming out if I like the way it rides!

Pardon?

A slight trim of the seat tube as the seat pin through bolt touches the frame.

Blimey, Don't cut the seat tube!

that original build is pure 10/10 filth

A tear on top of seat tube, no seat pin, sheared stem bolt etc. Slow build but one day it will be fab 😁

Meaning it's slightly too big for you?
I'd try no to cut such a beauty :-(They also lose value a lot.
Up for sale is this Moser Leader AX frame and fork that I bought off @jambon a couple of years ago, with the intent of building up a period correct Italian steel frame from the early 90s. However, life has got in the way and I need to move it on.
The frame measurements are as follows;
Seat tube: 58 cm centre to centre
Top tube: 56.5 cm centre to centre
Head tube: 16.5 cm
It comes with the very rare original seatpost, with an expandable internal clamp, plus a black ITM pantographed stem, 130 mm long and a pair of Nitto M106 black handlebars.
Condition is excellent, there are a few marks to the paint, but overall it's in amazing condition for it's age. Frame and forks are located in Beckenham, south east London and can be viewed here. If required I can post at cost.
