Way down to be honest. I can get hold of a new Deore 1x for about £50, so that's roughly where I was... (obviously the XT is very nice though!)

Yeah it's not ideal is it?! From what I can work out though it was due to the lower crown clamp on some forks having sharp edges, which caused a stress riser in the stanchions. The clamp on these appears to be properly chamfered, which would avoid that issue. Probably safest to give it a miss if you're planning on the gnar though.
