FS: Pastey Howler 853 Frame

Posted on
  • For Sale is my Pastey Howler frame in fast red, I've had it from new and it has been ridden pretty extensively over the years at trail centres, The South Downs Way and at endurance events. The main tubes are Reynolds 853 and the seat and chain stays 4130 chromoly. Sized medium = 18" seat tube. Headtube takes a fork with 1&1/8" straight steerer. BB is 68mm British Threaded. Frame is spaced 135mm for QR - Ritchey cowled dropouts - and has v-brake bosses and IS disc mount. Seatpost 27.2. The frame is designed for 26" wheels and a fork between 80 and 100mm travel - I also ran it rigid.
The frame has signs of wear and tear as you might expect, some paint loss on the disc tab and scratches/ cable rub elsewhere (much of the frame's high wear areas have been covered with 'helitape') but no dents or cracks. I treated the inside of the frame with Waxoil.

Further measurements. Head tube = 116mm and top tube = 560mm

The sale includes On One QR seat clamp, Titec seatpost and HT2 BB70 bottom bracket which still feels nice and smooth (Please note that the auction does not include a headset).
Any questions please get in touch
Asking £130 posted via courier. Collection in person available - Northants.

Have a Hope Headset, Reba forks and Stans Arch wheelset that I am considering selling alongside the frame if there is any interest.
