2020-06-20 - Isle of Grain - Night Ride - Short Notice

A 140KM round trip to visit #1 The Thames.

Leaving at 00:01 from London on Saturday morning to get out to the Hoo Peninsula for first light. Maybe do some tourism on the way back.

Meet up spot TBC.

All welcome, I'll be riding 70.55GI (48×18) with 25C tires.

Quick-social, waiting at non-obvious corners, t-shirts and denim type of ride.

As with everything these days, weather permitting..

So far it looks like me and one other with two soft-confirmations.

PM for the east meet-up or 00:30 tonight at south entrance Woolwich Foot Tunnel.

For the way out, to keep it flat, main roads for the first twenty kms.

Should be quiet though.

I am going to bring a face mask, maybe it woud be possible to catch the Tilbury Ferry on the way back and come up through Rainham.

I'd been planning on riding the Chilterns Cycleway this weekend but the chance of getting rained on has put me off, and this looks like the best window for good weather for solstice weekend. I'll definitely try make it.

Probably going to get people to meet at mine (E10) if north of river or at 00:30 south side of the Woolwich Foot Tunnel.

Or anywhere along the route after midnight (but let me know where to expect you).
