Double loft bed £125

  • For sale is this marvel of engineering, perfect for rooms with high ceilings and where space may otherwise be limited.

A double bed raised 143cm off the ground, allowing you to utilise the space underneath in many ways such as a desk space/sofa/storage etc.

Full measurements in the link below, this bed was brought brand new and full instructions and spare fittings are included. It's advertised as holding up to 40kg, and is indeed sturdy having held two people every night since October, but would recommend securing it to the adjacent wall for further strength.

Only selling as we are moving to a new place where its no longer needed. Bought for £250 asking £150, collection in Bethnal Green would be necessary.

Please do get in touch if you have any questions or would like to see it in situ.

  • Mmmm two standard people are a bit over 40kg 🤔😉

  • “The siderails are strengthend to take additional weight, the bunk bed has been tested to accept TWO people at 18stone (114kg) each.”

    In the link

  • My bad, there are two not so helpful max weights in the link though. One says 40stone (254kg) and the other says 18 stone (114kg. I would ignore the former, I didn't pick up on this yesterday when I put the advert up.

I have to say that the company are not the clearest in their descriptions or customer service but in all honesty the bed is of great quality!

Me and my girlfriend are both well under 114kg and its held us fine.

  • Not in the market, but giving a thumbs up to the general manufacturing strength of beds and bunks beds.
I've got a bunk bed from them for my two kids, they're happy, the bed is rated to sleep two adults (one top one bottom).
Putting it together though when you're in a hurry - not recommended. (I see you mentioned their descriptions - yes. there's a reason why IKEA are the go to company when buying flat pack furniture. one of the main ones is the ability to provide clear instructions with no words)
Bed and bunks will also resupply missing pieces I think (they did when I asked for a new side rail).

(I don't know the seller, I just randomly clicked on the thread)

  • Good book selection.

  • Fradista?

  • Thanks for the clarification ( I can read and follow links unaided ). I was just pointing up a typo and giving the ad a bump. As per emojis 🤔😉 above...

  • appreciate the bump!

  • I hear you on the simplicity of IKEA! We chose this bed based on the strength limits, after not being assured by other products available...

For any prospective buyers, this would come with clear instructions (based on original ones which are hard to decipher).
