FS Quirk single speed complete bike

Well that’s what you get for drinking most of a bottle of red and a few beers before posting a for sale ad. 🙄

Anyway it kills me to do this but tomorrow I pick up a new, family orientated, bike and so I need to let one go.

Quirk fillet brazed frame:

I believe the frame is made form Columbus Spirit HSS with an oversized MAX tubing rear end and painted by cole coatings in Rubble, an industrial grey finish.

• Seat tube is 56cm ctt (52ctc)
• Top tube is around 56.5ctc (57 virtual)
• Head tube is 17cm.
• stand over is about 80cm and the frame has a slightly sloping top tube design
• not drilled for rear brake
• Tapered Columbus carbon fork painted to match.
• 44mm Chris king headset
•Halo Areotrack wheel set
•Omnium chainset
• 48T Miche advanced chain ring
• 18T Shimano freewheel
• BLB 17t fixed Cog
• KMC chain
• 105 front brake
• Avid lever
• Deda 110mm stem.
• Black riser bars
• Black seat post with a few marks
• It won’t come with the fabric seat, but will have something on it to get you home
• No pedals
• Could do with a new rear tire, might have a spare in the loft.
• currently has a Thomson seatclamp... will more than likely come with a generic black seat clamp

It’s a lovely bike, very fast and very responsive, it far exceeds anything I could ever throw at it! The frame has a Small ding in the top tube, as pictured, it’s been there for some time, long before I bought the bike.

I bought this from Dan that use to race for elf and I don’t really want to sell it but hey!

Given that excluding the frame there is over 1k worth of parts including the fork.... and a custom Quirk will set you back a serious amount of money...

Isn't their a clause with paul that his bikes are lifers ?

It’s currently running 23c with the wheel at the front of the drop out. You should be ok to get 25c in there if the wheel is slid back but I’m not sure about anything bigger

It’s about 79cm from centre of crank to top of seat, I’m in Walthamstow. I’m just under 6.2 if that helps

Excuse my ignorance but I’m not even sure who Paul is? But either way Dan certainly didn’t mention anything to me about conditions or clauses when I bought it from him last August, just before he emigrated.

As it is I’m having real second thoughts about selling it. It’s a beautiful ride and is seriously tugging on my heart strings now that I’ve said I will sell it.

Its robert ! On his emails . Dunno where i got paul from . Still lifers though and my girlfriend loves hers.

Can understand how race bikes could be considered lifers but if she bought a bike I’m pretty sure she can do with it what she likes as it’s hers.
