These look very snazzy

They are very nice wheels ,
when I was putting the tyres on last night I did have a fleeting through thought about keeping them as ornaments ... -

Could these be used for street use? Or is that just dumb?
-

You could use them for street use, the rims have brake tracks and 32 cross 3 pattern build is a classic strong but forgiving lacing pattern.
The Conti Supersonics are the lightest tyres with no puncture resist strip and a thin rubber tread unsuitable for "Skid Stops" well more than three of them ....
The hubs are really smooth but they are not sealed bearings, so less than ideal in the wet and the finish is polished alloy so a bit prone to corrosion if neglected.
In short ,
yes,
posh street wheels for posing in the dry !

I ran those rims for several years on the road, on 28 spoke hubs. They were fine. Best to use a soft grade of brake pad

Sadly , they are away to a new owner..... :-(
As I will not be riding on a velodrome in the foreseeable future, I have a pair of track wheels for sale.
They are Campagnolo Small Flange Record hubs in 32/ 32 drilling built with stainless spokes / chrome brass nipples in a cross three pattern on IRD ( Interloc Racing Design) Cadence Nobium rims.
These have never been used in the wet or on the road.
The rims do have a braking surface so they would do as a posh set of street wheels.
They come with new Continental Supersonic 23mm Tyres and Conti 28 race tubes
They were built up and used for two track sessions, before being put in the bike store.
I have just given them a quick wipe over with a soft cloth and they have come up shiny like new.
£ 250 Collected from Edinburgh or postage at cost.
PM me for more info.
