• My housemate have the front half of his bike stolen. I'm trying to get him back on the road again.

I have an old alu 700c wheel that might work, but might be too shagged... TBC.

    We definitely need:

    • Rigid 1 1/8" forks to fit a 700c wheel. V-brake mounts would be ideal, but I'll make anything work.
    • Front brake to fit those forks
    • Standard 1 1/8" headset (I can buy a cheap one new if needed)

We're in N16 but I can cycle around North London and collect things.

The bike currently looks like this:

  • I have a carbon fork that would work. Will send details shortly

  • Don't mean to derail the thread, but was that stolen from the street or from the home?

  • I've got a steel black fork off a Fuji Track 54cm, 1/8 with 180mm steerer not sure if it V brake compatible. But it's free In Ealing

  • Stolen from the street.

  • @sacredhart Thanks, where would I collect from?

@user53789 Thanks this very generous and I think it would definitely work. I am just trying to work out if/when one of us can get over to Ealing.

  • Cheers, an unusual kind of theft. I think I've only heard of one of those once or twice before.
