Awesome, I remember these from my childhood. Bloke on my road had one. The suspension zooming up and down was a thing of wonder.

I'd swap my Ti serotta for the BX however my wife would be none too pleased and i'm not sure Jackytwoshoes would want a bike frame instead of folding stuff!

Sorry to be a bit geek, these are great fro round town and long runs. You have the later adjustable bx comfy seats and the window is most likely the switch as the contacts wear. There is a post of on the citroen owners club how to replace the contacts in the switch.

Love it
A very nice 1991 Citroen BX diesel automatic. Very leisurely and wafty!
146,000 miles (will go up as in regular use) and MOT'd until August though has a covid extension meaning it will expire next year.
Amazing Citroen ride quality with suspension that goes up and down if you want it to... Amazing economy too thanks to aerodynamics and use of lightweight plastics in the bonnet and boot.
It's generally in very good condition and has been thoroughly cherished- all the consumables such as tires, brakes, exhaust, spheres, cambelt and radiator are all very recent.
The interior is immaculate apart from a cigarette burn on the drivers seat.
The exterior is very good too- the bumpers have been resprayed at some point and in certain light you can notice this.
The boot floor has had some welding in the past as have the front inner wings, and there is very minor surface rust inside the door shuts.
The drivers window is currently inoperative, though there is a sunroof. One of the glovebox hinges is broken though the glovebox still works fine. One sill is slightly knocked in by a rogue jack- though it is totally solid. I have new set of Bosch glowplugs to go in- on colder days it likes a couple of heat cycles.
I'd like £1000 please.
