The bearings are pressed into cups which are pressed into the frame’s headtube. If you need to replace them, don’t worry about the bearings themselves, they’ll probably not be removable from the cups. You need to knock those silver cups out of the headtube (there’s a tool for this) and replace them.
Probably with a traditional headset, it may help to search for EC34 (EC being External Cup and 34 being the inner diameter of the headtube) assuming the steerer tube on the fork is 28.6mm which it looks like it is. -

Looks like a standard 1 1/8th Aheadset to me.

If you get it out I've got a brand new m-part ec34 headset in black for sale. £15 posted.

Thank you guys for your help! Managed to remove the headset and done some measuring. New headset on the way, fingers crossed it will be the right one!

Hijacking this thread, sorry
Anyone know what type of bearings this takes? Seems to have a glued in plastic insert, 1 1/8 straight steerer. I'm guessing caged bearings

Caged bearings eventually wear away at the race they run upon, so it would be strange to use caged or loose bearings on a cup surface that isn’t replaceable.
What frame is it?

Maybe the cups are removable but not with a normal headset remover. Tried prying them with a screwdriver but they're not budging
It's a 2010 specialized dolce sport

Dude who posted in link above says his cups had 1/8” caged bearings, but might be worth a bit more research if you’re buying them (if you’ve got lots of loose 1/8s, you could just use those).

Nice one, thanks! Thought it might be some proprietary bollocks. Will work on getting the cups out and order some sealed bearings
So my brother purchased a frame a long time again and left it unbuilt. In my boredom due to the lockdown I’ve decided to tackle it. It’s the first frame I have built from the ground up and I need help identifying what headset I need. There appears to already be bearings pressed in but I can’t find a headset that is compatible. Any help or advice would be appreciated, thanks!
