Frame presentation

  • I've ordered a new frameset and I'm looking for a nice option to display the frame so I can take some decent photos of it. A wall-attached bike hanger (i.e. Cactus Tongue) does work but it doesn't allow any separation from the background and that's what I'm after really.

It proves rather difficult (read; impossible) to actually find something that looks good.

I'm okay with a BB support and fork attachment (12mm thru axle) or just a BB attachment.

Ideally, something made from wood or metal as I'm not a big fan of plastic in my images.

I found something decent on the website of Argonaut, it's not spot on but something like this or industrial in case of steel would work for me.

Any input / suggestion is more than welcome!

  • Is a stand preferable than a support that blends in / can be Photoshopped out? Like that:

  • Yeah I'd rather work with a stand I can keep in the photos as the background will probably remain industrial / factory-like. For a photo like you suggest I'd probably hang it and remove the fishing line in post.
