R.I.P rider. It's really sad. That's a terrible junction, long-earmarked for some work to make it better for cyclists. Driver failed a roadside drug-test, according to one report.

Standard report:
https://www.standard.co.uk/news/crime/peckham-crash-cyclist-death-a4348706.html
A man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing a roadside drug test.
It seems that the updated police report still has one erroneous reference to a cyclist, having been only partly edited. It's possible that the driver hit a cyclist and a pedestrian, with the latter dying, but it's probably more likely that there was only one victim.
Officers attended. A male cyclist, aged 23, had been in collision with a VW Golf. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene at 06:55hrs.
RIP unknown walker.

This seems like a peculiar crash; there's a modal filter at the junction of Peckham Road and Kelly Avenue:
No point speculating as to what might have happened. Perhaps there will be more information in due course.

I know Rider Down usually needs two references but the police have tended to be reliable in the past and many news outlets seem to publish the police reports without any checking either.
RIP pedestrian.
