Possibly the best jacket you can buy - but now surples to requirement.
Used for HT550 and Silk Road, where I tore it. Which has been professional repaired my Scottish Mountain Gear. The jacket has some marks and is not new condition, but functions as it should.

The only real issue is that on the inner flynet the material has pulled away slightly from one of the guides, this could easily be re-sewn, but equally it doesn't affect anything.

  • Doh Sorry medium

  • How wide is the Arcteryx pit to pit?

  • Too wide for you pal!
I can't really get an accurate pit-pit that would be any use so...

My chest is 96cm and it's good. I could get a hoody underneeth OK. Good movement.

  • You are right I’m too wide :(

  • Question on PHD about waterproofing and pack size, so posting here too:

It's not waterproof but water resistant, with a DWR coating. I'd using it in light to heavy rain for short to medium periods, but not in all day sustained rain. The seams are not sealed. It's an incredible jacket.

It packs down to maybe half a football and weights 400g inc. hood.

    From their site:
    https://www.phdesigns.co.uk/what-fabrics-does-phd-use
    weight. (weight: 54 gsm).
Ultrashell. This ripstop nylon provides complete windblock and good water resistance at minimal weight. Ultrashell provides a valuable payback in performance with very little weight penalty. (weight: 40 gsm). Note: unlike some other so-called 'proofed' fabrics, Ultrashell does not rely solely on a DWR (durable water repellent) coating. Although it has a DWR coating, more importantly it has a breathable and permanent PU coating applied on the underside of the fabric that cannot be abraded through daily use.
