I've acquired and built another pompino so I'm moving this one on. It's a great bike and was a good intro to off-road riding and some racing for me, so I'm almost loathe to sell it. But I could do with some extra space etc etc. My preference would be to sell as a complete - and I think it represents a good deal - but I could separate some bits if it comes to it, but last resort.
I bought this bike off the forum and it has remained relatively unchanged. Mostly because it all works. I've replaced cables, headset bearings and the freehub in the rear wheel since I bought it.
For £250 you get
On-One Pompino V4 frame - (frame cold set to take a 130mm rear hub i/e. regular 10/11 speed wheel). Roughly 52cm tt ctc.
Scott carbon CX fork with alloy steerer
FSA Gossamer Cranks
Hope 38t narrow wide chainring
Several rear sprockets of different sizes
SRAM chain
Surly Tugnut
Fabric Scoop Elite Flat saddle
Deda silver seatpost
Specialized Zertz 42cm ctc handlebars
Deda 100mm stem
Deda bar tape
SRAM S500 brake levers
Tektro CR720 cantilever brakes with Quikstop salmon pads
SPD pedals - scratched but functional
I have 2 wheelsets I could sell with this bike:
1) Bontrager Race TLR wheelset - capable of being run tubeless, but the front has seen better days and is quite worn. I would ride them, but am not sure they are a long term wheelset. (Back wheel in pic)
2) Rolf Vector oldskool road wheelset - I've used these on my road bike, they're a sturdy set of wheels but a narrower rim than modern equivalents. Weird spoke pattern. I'll happily keep them as spare wheels. (Front in pic)
Currently it has Maxxis refuse 25c tyres. I can sell it with these, or with a set of Specialized Terra Pro 2Bliss all round cx tyres which I've found to be pretty good.
I set the bike up as is as a stopgap for my flatmate who had her bike stolen :(
