Carbon-fibre frames with rear rack and mudguard mounts

A few years ago, rack mounts on a carbon-fibre bike were just not a thing. Now that lightweight touring bikes (or drop-bar hybrids) have been renamed "gravel", "adventure" or "bikepacking", being practical has apparently become cool again, so we have a few different options.

I thought I might start a list here, for the benefit of anyone looking for a load-carrying carbon-fibre bike. Please post any others you might spot, online or in the wild. And I am sure we can have a lovely discussion about lightweight pannier racks, heel strike and weight limits while we are at it.

Seat collar or seat stay bridge

Many bikes are listed on Cycling About, but some of these rely on the seat stay bridge or special seat collar to mount a rack. For me this risks heading into "but is it designed to hold a rack?" territory. But if the manufacturer suggests it...

They also do a sportier bike called the Innisio Tour, with option of flat or drop bars. Rack and mudguards can be specified: rack fits to seat stay bridge.

GT Grade Carbon bike promo pics show seat collars with rack mounts. Not every pic shows the same, so unclear if this clamp is standard. But another to add to the list for people who want a rack for their floaty carbon bike.

Article says it is £2,499 for the frameset, but I think they mean the complete bike.

Carbon trekking bike with a step-through frame

The bike nobody asked for but what we all deserved.

Mentioned over in the gravel bike thread, along with an horrendous new nickname, "grammuter", the Specialized Sirrus series of hybrids. The Sirrus X 5.0 (£1599) has a carbon frame with a seatstay bridge.

All seem to have the same frame. The Sirrus X 5.0 mentions racks in the product description, suggesting you use the seat stay bridge, but it might be a mistake: they use the same description as for the aluminium models, which have rack lugs.

New Tifosi Cavazzo Disc. Slightly different from Cavazzo SL and is £200 cheaper for the frameset.

Looks like another carbonda 696.

Same as a Dolan GXC, OnOne Freeranger, Ridley Kanzo Adventure, Vitus Substance CRX...

Not 100% sure they are the same frame. Very similar, but there are one or two differences I see. The chainstay has more of a curve on the Tifosi, whereas the headtube on the Carbonda is more angled where it meets the downtube.

Might just be variation in frame size and image angle though.

Ridley Kanzo Adventure
Quite shocked that Ridley sell an openmould frame, but the similarities are stunning.

Merida Silex CF2 frame, used in the Silex+ 6000(£2650; road.cc review), Silex 7000 (£2650) and Silex+ 8000-E (£3250) gravel bikes, via seatstay bridge

Salsa Warroad is 'rear rack friendly' through use of their 'Rack-Lock' seat collar. The frameset is £2150.

So is this basically a Carbonda CFR696 with a nice paint job and a decent price?

I've decided that this bike actually has too many mounts now and I find its appearance mildly repulsive

Rondo Ruut CF0 / CF1 / CF2 with "full set of rack and bottle cage mounts".

Ghost Fire Road Rage, even describes itself as a tourer

New Cube Nuroad C:62 series. Has a permanent seat-stay bridge for racks/mudguards, and rack mounts on the fork as well.

Go for the top-of-the-line SL edition if you want the naff irridescent cassette and frame detailing.
