The origins of a corporate monster. Is Mike Sinyard now just a figure head, wonder how things sit with him. They have gone a long way from Mike shipping campag directly to himself and delivering to shops with a road bike and trailer.
Only ever done the mountain bikes. Just dug an oldish one from storage maybe a thread on it's own to recomission.

I've gravitated towards Specialized bikes, maybe down to their expensive sponsorship of awesome pros (and teams)
I have currently: S works Venge, Allez Sprint, Langster Pro, Sworks M5 hardtail.

Always thought this Diverge paint scheme and model was pretty cool as well: https://www.instagram.com/p/ByYgwGNovDf/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

Nice Epic, that is an early one as it has canti studs.
Test rode them when they first came out, really nice ride and the suspension did what it was ment to (locked on smooth auto open on rough ground)
Nearly bought one.
test rode an Enduro then bought a Stumpjumper FSR instead with the Triad air can :)So that's about 2004. the fox shock DU bushings of that time would last a few rides then need replacing down the Quantocks. The local shops sent soil samples back to FOX to investigate.
The frames where either spot on (i got a good one) or several mil on the piss causing the shock shaft to wear on the sides on top of eating DU bushes. -

quick google-fu
Had this one, but ditched the Manitou fork and front brake for Bombers and Hope M4
Bent the chainset and removed the XTR rear mech caning the crap out of it at Cwm Carn as the downhill track had opened..... and we went to have a go.And it got a then Freeride special of a Titec Knock Scoper seat post, possibly the manual fore runner of dropper posts now.

Yes, that is Specialized Epic M4 frameset from 2003; other is custom build.
I got it from a friend who used it in competitions - old but still fun to ride :) -

SuperSix 58cm with 120mm stem fits me well. If I was looking at a Tarmac, should I go for 56 or 58? 58 might feel too stretched out. I'm 189cm / 6ft3.

I want one. But £10k built and £4k frameset?
Come off it.
I'll stick to my £750 Kinesis or £1600 Mason. -

You'd be triple the rider weight limit
Dubious corporate practices but nice bikes worthy of their own thread - here’s mine
