SOLD SOLD SOLD
Hi all,
I have just finished putting together this 1990 "Pyrenea Sport" in Vitus SM tubing over the bank holiday weekend.
Frame size is 56cm square so good for someone around 5ft10/ 178cm.
The seatpost is unbelievably long at 400mm so it would also suit someone with long legs / a bit taller.
Condition of the frame is used - I would say average as I am picky and it has a few scuffs / paint chips, in line with being a 30 years old bike really.
All the consumables are in good order and I serviced the bike so you'll be good for the next year or so.
Equipment:
All in a good honest bike that I serviced. Seatpost / stem move freely, gears are indexed and work well. Wheels are true, no play in bearings (BB/headset/hubs).Brake cables are new.
Yours for £175 ->SOLD FOR £160 and you can ride it away as a good reliable daily ride.
Pick up from The City EC2V near Guidhall.
What is Pyreanea Sport?
It is a now defunct french brand - this one was a brand belonging to ETS José Alvarez (based in Auch, near Toulouse, south east France) who used to be a key player in importing / selling big brands & mass selling complete bikes.
His establishment was the first one to import Specialized MTB in France.
He had deals with many brands and was buying frames from Peugeot at one time then adding Miche / Deda / ITM / Shimano components he used to negotiate separately in very large quantitities.
The death of his shop / system was of course globalisation, which ultimately undercut his margins. Death by internet if you will.
