I can build one for you if you are struggling.
I have crap £5 rims from Evans and crap "Makersville" flip flop hubs.
Could order some spokes and put that together.£50 for the wheelset?

Bump, after a 26" fixed 135mm wheel

Depending on whether you want to run a brake (disc brake anyway) it may work out cheaper to grab a used wheel and use a bolt on cog.
I did it recently and chainline was bang on

I was considering this. Did you use a rear wheel or a front with a new axle? Cheers

Rear. After pinching brakes and group off a 29er I got restless having most of a bike but no funds to build it again. Velosolo cog was £12 used off eBay + fixeh chain I had hanging around.
135mm fixeh options were pretty limited; surly hub was around 100+, then it got really spendy

I've not ridden it since so glad I didn't splurge dorrah on it.
Looks nice though 🙈

thabjs for he info, so you literally just flipped a rear disc wheel around. Leave the freewheel side as is? Did you leave it on a qr or change the clamping mechanism to something more substantial?
-
• #13
I didn't need anything more substantial as the salsa system means the whole dropout moves rather than just the wheel. Pic attached is best I have to hand

If you need a beater > Freecycling - 26" ss with spacing up to 160! :) includes hardly used tyre and tube. Not sure if anyone can travel these days - I'm in SL1, can go a bit towards west though..
