I love this bike but I'm just not using it enough. I've toured countries and done a bit of cross racing on one of these (although not this one) as a single speed. Then bought one again to convert into a touring bike. Since getting it built up it's done 2 longish trips and has been sat in the garage otherwise.

-56cm Reynolds 520 Genesis Day One frame that I believe is from around 2012.
Kona Project Two fork (with IS disc mount) with plenty of steerer left. FSA headset.

-Front wheel is original Genesis bolt on hub laced to Alex ace 19 rim. 32h. 32mm Marathon plus tyre.

-Rear wheel is a nutted Shimano LX hub laced to a DT Swiss TK540. 36h. 32mm Specialized Infinity tyre.

-Sram X7 rear mech is operated with a Dura-ace friction bar end shifter via straight cable.

-Alfine HT2 45t cranks in silver, 11-36 Shimano cassette.

-Tektro RX5 mini V brakes, Sram levers. Right hand Tektro RL570 crosstop lever.

-Nitto Rando bars, 450mm c-c at the end of the drops, 370mm at the top of the bars but measuring from the middle of the brake lever hoods it's 380mm.
    Camo tape. Colnago plug.

    -Bontrager Race stem, 60mm, 10°

-Original genesis 27.2 seatpost, Charge Spoon saddle (camo)

-Full length plastic mud guards, 45mm

-Narrow rear rack, Pizza rack not included

-Blue Elite 'light weight tubular cage' x 2

Sale includes original fork and rear wheel.
Only thing not pictured is the alfine chainset and HT2 bottom bracket.
    I've also removed the kickstand.
Plastic Duo large platform BMX pedals fitted at the moment but can fit some m520/m540 spd pedals.
Paint has some chips here & there but mostly is in good condition. No rust, no dents.

    £400 SOLD

  • Great bike glws

  • Thanks @Coffeeholic

So I've finally picked the original rear flip flop wheel up. Bearings feel a bit rough so could do with being replaced. Rim appears to have a lot of life in it still.

  • Little drop on the Tricross

  • Another drop on Tricorss

  • Here’s a dim question. Is there a way you could (if you were especially stupid, as I am) to rig this up with an rd for a 1xsomething get up?

  • Possibly, but you'd be limited by the spacing. The Day One has a 135 OLD so takes old MTB hubs quite easily.
I could imagine something like a 3 speed freewheel working, maybe.

  • That might be my old tricross? Pretty sure I filed the brake guides off.

  • Yes it is, and yes you did. I was going to use it as a pit bike but cyclocross isn't really a thing where I'm moving to so going to stick with just one cross bike
