It smells like VMB's
-
• #3
What does VMB mean? Another Gaston trademarked acronym?

Sweet Project! Looking at the size of the frame, I can see why you sold me the colorado II. After a year, I finally managed to give it a thorough cleaning, found a suitable bar tape and put on some period incorrect c-record pedals. It rides great but unsurprisingly it‘s more of a wall hanger. I hope yours gets ridden more regularly when it‘s completed. Looking forward to see it progress!

Well you did ask me to build you a pair of wheels once. Now you have them ;)

Time to make that call to my insurance company and extend it to face damages then :}

Yeah, it was waaay too small for me. Still on the hunt for a 60cm with that pink/orange fade though!

Missed the small detail that the body on the novatec hubs isn't Campa :/
Which body would fit the F172SB rear? Is it an A/A2 type hub? @edscoble, do you know?
Also, on the eshop of Novatec, is there a way to choose a hub with the campa hub body on?
Also, do you know which year these hubs are from @russmeyer?
Edit*
Found out it's A/A2 but depending on year of the hub that could also mean Easy 3in1.I wonder if this would work? https://r2-bike.com/NOVATEC-Freehub-Driveshell-Campagnolo-11-speed

An adjuster washer for the front derailleur, a chain and a saddle and I can start huffing and puffing my way into not weighing triple digits. Pedals are to be installed.

Awesome!

That's spot on. If you replace the seatpost I'd keep it silver.

So good.

Cheers!
Yeah, I’ll keep the finishing kit silver I reckon.

Thanks!
I reckon a KMC X10SL in Gold would look the part on this. Not sure if it affects shifting though..

Definitely. What, you’re going to ride it?!
This is coming into fruition as it's been on the backburner for a bit. Getting built up by my LBS friend tomorrow hopefully. It weighed 9.4kg without saddle and super heavy touring-esque pedals so hopefully it will sub 9kg. The weight weenism sits in the pedals and the wheels ha! Built in 1990 before the BB lugcast was created with the famous Serotta 'S' stamped, so it's brazed at the BB junction for ST and DT. Half lug at the HT.
As it sat before with a Chorus 9 speed group.
