I think the first one was an edit of the attack of the 50 foot woman, right? I'm defo in! Have to brush up on my fixed riding, I haven't ridden without gears for bloody ages, but can't do this ride not on the ol Plug!!

I wont hold it against anyone if they don't ride fixed..but yes @mrs_socks riding the plug is compulsory! Hasn't been any more voting for a few days, so it looks like it's gonna be the 31st August - I'll get an event thread going shortly!

I'd love to join in but having had rotator cuff surgery, I'm still in 'recovery' mode so comfort eating instead. If not allowed back in the saddle will try to get to end point to say hi and (still) cry into a beer and cheese chips.

So looking forward to this!
Just been scrolling through the original ride thread on the hunt for the spoke card file (no luck, but lots of happy memories recalled!).

ooh, looks like I logged in at the right time. I’m a possible as long I can ride gears. (I’ve come to the conclusion that my fixie is probably too small for me after all but want to have a bike fit before I decide to sell anything!)

It was a good one. Great to see old faces and some new, especially the next generation. Kat on her penny farthing was eye-catching and helped slow down a few idiotic drivers on the rode. I owe a debt of gratitude to this site and the women who organised rides back in the day. As scared as I was, they helped me a lot and I know who to contact when I'm ready to e-convert one of my bikes.
So it's been 10 long years since the original Attack of the 50 Fixed Women ride - let's have another one to celebrate!
Currently working on several dates so please vote on your preferences here: https://doodle.com/poll/23d6b772ph4sr6vx
I've put a shout out on Facebook as well - for those that actually know me - For those who don't know anything about this ride, here is the link to the last one 3 years ago. https://www.lfgss.com/events/1959/#comment13158077
Basically it's a women's only ride to either a picnic or pub location - all women welcome and you don't have to ride fixed - ride should be an easy 10-15 miles tops.
