Wanted - big budget bike

Hello - looking on behalf of a mate, would like something to get him cycling around the city. He's big (6"5ish) and not going to be looking for an aggressive racey position. He was about to buy this so please help me avoid such a travesty being supported...

Ideally under £250. Single speed or gears considered...

That is lovely but ideally I think we're looking for something more road-orientated. my mate would like to do more cycling with me and mates and we'll all be on road/ss/fixed etc...

Don't think he's up for fixed I'm afraid - unless there's a flipflop hub on there I don't think it's an option. Thanks tho!

It’s got a flip flop hub. In fact I’m throwing in a spare hub with a dicta free wheel on it (although you’ll need a vice to get it off, otherwise they are £10-12 new)
