• Anyone got any of these? I'm looking for the separate ones, not integrated with a brake lever.

  • Might have some in the garage (did have some rapid fire 3x7 and some xt m732 a while back for Mrs c00ps’ mtb). Not back home until Monday to check. Will get back to you, if you've not found anything by then.

  • Got some. I’ve not fitted them. But they are second hand to me (maybe even from on here - will check...). Decent condition with a few small dings. They through all gears fine and pull cable each time - but as I say, I’ve not used them in anger. Don’t know which model - maybe stx?

I have some XT thumbies also.

  • @ffm You still after some of these, dude?

  • Cheers @c00ps those are what I was after. I'm still mid-build and I'm not sure whether my 9-speed cassette will go onto the existing 7-speed wheel. Sheldon says that the cassette is 4mm thicker, so very possibly not. If the answer is no, I'll be in touch!

Incidentally, how much do you want for the XT thumbies? Are they 7-speed too?

  • Oh yes, teh moneys... Shall we say £interesting-beer for the trigger shifters, collected in central London?

Pretty sure the XT thumbies are M732 shifters (forgot to take photos at the same time) and 3x7 - same as these: https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/Shimano-Deore-XT-Sl-m732-3x7-Retro-MTB-Thumb-Shifters/1605501641
Erm. I think I paid £40-ish for them posted - so £35 collected central London and £40 posted (difference between actual postage and the fiver then donated to forum)? Will get pics though - again, these have not been fitted / tested in anger. But they appear fine from fiddling with them and are pretty robust.

(Note: I need to double-check with Mrs c00ps that she definitely doesn't want the thumbies fitted to her bike)

  • Confirmed- Mrs c00ps wants me to fit the thumbies on her bike so she can 'try them' :/

    Trigger shifters still good though.

  • I'm after another one of these if anyone has one languishing in the bottom of the spares draw. It's for a 1x7, so only a right hand one required. I've got various bits and bobs for sale if you want to do swaps.

@c00ps did I get those off you in the end?

  • Nope. The trigger shifters are still in the garage, as far as I know. I will check when I get away from my desk. All yours, if so. Will have to post, as I have been exiled to Cambridgeshire for the time being, for the obvious reason...

(the XT thumbies are on Mrs c00ps' bike now - but I wish I hadn't bothered, as she doesn't really have a preference between them or the grip shifters - so I could probably liberate these, given a bit of time over the weekend?)

  • Noice! Thanks, drop me a PM when you dig them out of the garage.
