On-One Pompet' hybrid 'do it all' shredder

  • Realise I've never made a thread to present the bike that has seen it all and that still keeps changing.

It all started 6 years ago when I built it for the Santa Cross #1 a fun SSCX race in (near?) Lille.
It was my first "race", it was my first disc brakes bike and my first new and modern bike.
Since then I raced it some more, I converted it to fixed gear, I repainted it, I raced it again, I converted it to 1x10, I commuted on it, I converted it back to single speed, I switched to 650b,...
    So much fun.

The next step is back to 1x10, back top drops, and new paint.

  • What tyres are you using with 650b? Had it in my head for some reason you can't 650b a pomp. Did you modify the frame?
    Excellent build btw!

  • Pasela 42c. Didn't have to modify. It fits fine but I think it's the widest you can put at the rear. Though I'd like to try with the Bruce Gordon Rock n Road 43c.
    Cheers!

  • Bad ass bike! Have you just wedged the bottle in the bull moose bars on the front or am I missing something?

  • Thanks!

Just tight enough so it doesn't jump off though still easy to grab it out.

  • Pelago rack went on the Kendo.

  • What are those spacers from?

    Shutter speed and aperture rings?

Edit: just noticed the top cap too.

  • They are the Zeiss Top Cap and 1 1/8 Spacers Set from Mash.

  • Lovely photos too.

  • Can't wait to see your other bikes ;-)
