Stuart Hayes, 40, was cycling down Broomfield Hill, one of the fastest stretches of the route
I thought the London parks speed limits apply to cycles too and therefore max 20mph. Badly worded if so
(not that I ride 20mph around the park) -

No speed was mentioned, only the stretch of road.

According to https://www.royalparks.org.uk/__data/assets/pdf_file/0010/65395/160812_CPB_cycle-policy-TRP-2016-approved_es.pdf (Cycling in the Royal Parks Policy Statement 2016)
Speed limits do not apply to cyclists within the parks but it is
recommended that cyclists keep to appropriate speeds for the
environment -

Hope he was fine went there this morning also for few rounds

Knowing how the parks police are I suspect this will trigger another wave of targeting cyclists who are visiting the park "to keep them safe".

The "fastest stretches" I was referring to. Other than the uphill, the whole thing is gonna be 20mph. I didn't say he was speeding
Anyway, it doesn't matter -

I guess that came out after this

I doubt that the Deer concerns itself with humans regulations.

This was my work colleague’s encounter with a 🦌 in RP a few years back

I hit a muntjac last week, (in the countryside not RP) and don't recommend it. Very hard to avoid when they bolt out of nowhere.
Bad luck. Hope he recovers soon, and that the deer wasn't badly injured.
