@coventry_eagle - this looks great, but the price is too steep for me. It doesn't help that 2019 M1E goes for £840 online.

AFAIK there were no changes to the 2019 version.
The plan was to go 3 speed with the 2 speed kit as detailed here:
https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/228623/The kit itself is £55 without the 2 speed compatible levers (which are installed) so I think the price is fair.

2 speed lever, was supposed to install a 2 speed setup, have the kit (2nd hand) and will be included in sale.
Gearing is 54 x 12T, find it perfect for pretty much flat my commutes, but of a push at the lights and just cruise along once you get going.
