GoT.
Arya Stark goes from super stealth kick-ass assassin tank, to scaredy-pants little girl that can't hide from a few shambling dead people. Whut?
Also, if you turned your TV up to full brightness, you still can't see a fucking thing, except for compression blocking.
And the kissing cousins just fucking off flying for most of the battle. Cheers guys. Not like we could have used you much.

Wrong
Arya Stark is battling PTSD and flashbacks to her mentor being killed in a very similar fashion in the first series. She's literally battling her ghosts. -

in the first series
Like I can remember that far back

I kept taking my glasses on and off to see if it helped with the confusing darkness and wobblecam action but yeah, overall bum-clenchingly brilliant I thought. Way better than the tedious pre-battle solidarity and actorly guff of last week's build-up. I might even watch it again.

Hmm, I thought it was a bit of a shame to 'resolve' 7 seasons of planning with an hour and a half of of "Dead are gonna win, dead are gonna win, dead are gonna win... Ninja Arya with
the 1 hit boss instakill"Unless they follow up with a bit more story on Bran/Night King then the whole 3 eyed raven storyline was a bit pointless, ending up with Bran just being bait for a fighter to step in and finish it.
Was a very impressive display of pyrotechnics but the pace of the last season or so as the books have been overtaken by TV has been a shame.

7 seasons of planning
6 seasons of planning, 1 season of rushed getting-everything-into-place-and-a-lot-of-travelling
A single episode battle & resolution saves us from tortured and clumsy cliffhangers, or any more of the season 7 jump from set piece to set piece with filler in between.
It allows the story to move more fluidly.
Or something.

yeah I was thinking what the fuck are you doing Bran, Mr cosmic kill joy decidesto vibes out while zombies are attacking and a zombie dragon! I thought he was trying to get inside the zombie dragon .
Arya definitely dealing with past ghosts...and she wanted to get frisky with blacksmith boy again so has to kick ass -

My favourite part was when all the compression artefacts charged.

It's like a toddler setting up a board game.
But with clumsier narrative.
I'm already at the "just get on with it ffs" stage.

Yeah. But.
Who will win the battle of the Celganes? -

Strange how Tyrion did not end up with hundreds of arrows in him at the end of the episode. Cersei has no love for him, is now aware Bronn betrayed her by letting him live, and his knowledge of Kings Landing which would be an important factor in a siege.

I thought Bronn was going to play more of a role, but his appearance yesterday was a bit "hey guys, here's some snappy dialogue, but i'm fucked if i'm getting in between the Lannisters".
