SOLD: GT Karakoram 1991 commuter (large) £260

Selling my retro MTB commuter as I haven't been using it recently. Super practical bike, which I rode for about a year.

£300 > £280 (or less depending on extras)

Frameset: GT Karakoram 1991. Classic triple triangle frame in Tange tubing, great condition, just some little marks on the decals. Pictures below show the bare frame up close, with mega 90s splatter paint. It's a large. I'm 6'1 with short legs if that helps.
Wheels: Kinlin ADHN 26" on Deore hubs. Solid and straight, little rim wear.
Tyres: forum favourite Schwalbe Marathon Supreme.
Groupset: new Shimano Acera 9 speed* with lightly used Superstar narrow-wide chainring.
Brakes: Tektro CR720 front, Tektro U Brake rear, Tektro levers. Surprisingly work ok! Will include a spare pair of pads.
Finishing kit: random stuff including GT branded stem, pedals will be flats, unless you want the lifeline ones pictured for a tenner.
Extras: mudguards included. Also included are the SJS canti rack with Velo Orange bolts (which was perfect with a wald basket on it) and the stainless bottle cages - take £20 off if you don't want these. Will throw in some new white silicone grips as well, and have some unused Schwalbe Racing Ralph MTB tyres that would fit if you want those too (£25 for the pair).

*there are 2 minor issues as it is. 1. the RD won't shift into the smallest cog so it's 8 speed for now, I think because of some odd spacing on the old frame or something. You may have more luck indexing, or be able to add a washer. I'll have another go at it in the meantime. 2. Headset is smooth enough but a little tatty cosmetically. It is also difficult to adjust with the canti hanger just above it.

Collection from Putney or can ride it into work near Blackfriars. If someone really wants just the frame, I will consider splitting. Not keen on posting.

Are those rear studs U-brake specific?

Yes they are. Can throw the u brake in free if you just want the frame. They aren't as bad as I thought they would be to be honest with decent pads.

Should have sold it in the winter when people want bikes with mudguards!

Is there anyway I could get a rack on the back? I want to build a do it all machine but not sure I could get a rack on the rear.

Yeah you could stick a rack on the back on the same dropout eyelet as the mudguards. Just use a longer bolt and make sure the rack is up against the frame. I can dig out the right bolt for you. The frame has eyelets on the seatstays for a rack.
