Lots of riders use Garmin at mcr. Sometimes folks leave sensors on the rear hub of hire bikes, must be pricey forget.
The rule in mcr is it is ok to collect data just blank off the screen (either out of sight or covered up) & ensure it is securely attached to the bike.

Thanks, I will get a cadence sensor at least then. As I said, my Garmin is attached under the saddle, so there should be no issues ;)

I just use the standard rubber band Garmin mount on the seat post. Or you can stick it in your pocket. I’ve seen riders put a Garmin on the bars in the conventional manner during drop-in sessions at Glasgow and no one seemed bothered. Would be different in racing, I guess.

Yeah, very much depends on which coach is on and whether or not he is on his period.
Does anyone use sensors (cadence & speed) to track data at the velodrome?
I know GPS units like Garmin are not allowed on the cockpit or anywhere visible by the rider, but it's allowed to put one under the saddle using a saddle rail mount. Yet, at LVV for example, there is not GPS signal, so the unit by itself is useless. Does anyone have experience with sensors on a track bike? Are they allowed by UCI rules? Are they allowed by the velodromes? Do they work well? What sensors do you use?
