fast wheels, but they are alloy / carbon with exalith brake surface, am i wrong ?

Let me check - there are so many variants from Mavic but the rim body is definitely not alloy.

i think what you have is this, albeit an earlier version https://www.sigmasports.com/item/Mavic/Cosmic-Pro-Carbon-Exalith-Clincher-Wheelset-2019/EBLB

Stick 'em on some scales. The carbon / alloys have never been light. The carbon only were pretty svelte.
-
• #8
That's pretty much it, an alloy rim with exalith 2 brake track which then has a carbon faring (think that's the right word) bonded to it.
-
• #9
The all carbon ones have the carbon weave through the brake surface

These have the alloy braking track, are rapid af and make space ship noises when you brake.

I am after no wheels in particular. Just my 2 cents : i owned the non-exalith non-wide version and they were fine wheels, the only koms i briefly held in london were thanks to those.

Sold, thanks all.
These came off an insurance replacement Canyon I got at the end of last year just before the range was updated, and I have the wheelset I need to shift to pay for impending nuptials. They are completely unused as you will see from the photos.
The more I read up about them they clearly sound better than my existing wheelset but, I can't justify both.
Why you should buy them:
