Hi bike friends!
I am in the process of putting out my first documentary comic book and I could use your advice.
The book is about the Race to Alaska, a non-motorized boat race that starts in Port Townsend Washington and goes up the inside passage to Ketchikan, Alaska. It's a really crazy race that pits stand up paddle boarders against carbon racing yachts.
I'm coming to the UK at the beginning of May and would love to bring some copies and maybe have a little event. I'll be in both London and in Leeds. Can you imagine a boat club or adventure group that would love to host a talk and a book signing? There are some elements of cycling, but it's all adapted weird old bikes turned into a boat pedal drive, and probably not that exciting to the LMNH crowd.
Also, if a comic book about boats sounds like your jam you can preorder it here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/nhatttnichols/boats-bears-and-bad-ideas-the-race-to-alaska
Thanks for any advice, and if you just want to have a drink and a catch-up while I'm in town let me know! I'm down for rides and beers too.
