I'd imagine it might be getting a little bit gummed up which is reducing the sound. Have you tried taking it apart and cleaning it?

I wasn't aware these were user serviceable like the White Industries ones?
I've tried cleaning best I can but probably does need to come off for a deep clean

Yeah, there's a port to lube it somewhere I believe.

A friend had that happen to his after riding through all kinds of mud over winter. He gave it a clean & it did return to its original clickiness though.
I've got a clickster that suddenly doesnt click as loud as it used to. How do I know if its worn out (never worn anything out before!)
