How’s the house coming along?

Really well, but it takes so much energy to make even the smallest changes it would seem. Feels like I've aged 10 years in 6 months, and I don't even have kids yet!

I hear you...

Is it just the one multipurpose blade? If so how much life is left in it, and are there specific replacement blades?
Cheers.
If you want a break from DIY crack on with the kids - you'll never get any done again.

I barely used the original blade, maybe 20 cuts on 2x4's when making my shed? I switched it to a fine tooth blade from Saxton shortly after. Will put the original blade back on for the sale.
Evolution do a specific finer tooth blade for wood. Wish I'd bought that one. The Saxton needed a reduced ring to sit on the evolution arbour which is a bit of faff.
Re kids, don't say that, I do like the diy stuff despite my moaning.

Cheers. I need to think if I can justify it to she who must be obeyed... plus I was hoping to get a pillar drill.
Don't worry. You can't do anything else you used to enjoy, so there will be plenty of other things you'll miss first.

Ah well, what did you end up replacing it with? Ideally i’d Like something not too large too

I replaced it with something bigger! A Makita, but the rails slide forward rather than sticking out of the back so it can be pushed back against the wall. Was a bit spendy but it is very nice.
Evolution 255mm sliding mitre saw. 10 months old with only light use, working like a champ. I need to downgrade to a smaller one.
One of these: https://www.screwfix.com/p/evolution-r255sms-255mm-single-bevel-sliding-mitre-saw-220-240v/1062x
£100 picked up from SE12, or I can deliver locally potentially.
Will get photos up tonight.
