SOLD: Salsa Casseroll (53) and Surly 1X1 (M)

Hi All,

Looking to consolidate these bikes into 1, so selling them both to fund something like an All City Macho Man Disc/Gorilla Monsoon, All City Electric Queen or similar QBP steel CX/Gravel/Hardtail. Collection from just outside Plymouth perfect but unlikely so prices include posting via my LBS. Happy to consider trades for something that meets the above criteria on one or both of the bikes.

Salsa Casseroll (53cm) - Bought as a winter commuter/hack bike and hasn't missed a beat. Full steel F&F, solid groupset and classic cantis (with questionable power in the wet). Will ship without guards as the ones on there are cracked beyond belief and held together with cableties, would be very surprised if they come off in one piece. Can ship with rear rack if wanted too. Few tiny spots of rust coming through, but you have to look to find it, main culprit pictured.

Unsure how to price this one but how about £350 posted?

Surly 1x1 (Medium) - Absolute classic SSMTB, needs no introduction really. This one's in pretty decent condition, a few scrapes and scratches on the F&F but nothing major. Built from F&F up 6 months ago with decent components, some new and some from the parts bin, at considerable expense and naturally, all black!

• Surly 1x1 frame with full steel Salsa fork, both in black
  
• Thomson Elite seatpost, a bit scratched but obviously solid as a rock
  
• Shimano XT crankset with 32t (IIRC) chainring
  
• White Industries freewheel 18t (IIRC - the red one)
  
• Chris King dark purple headset
  
  • Mavic EX729 26in wheelset laced to Surly Ultra-New hubs in excellent condition
    
  • Maxxis High Roller rear and Minion front, both 2.5in in good condition
    
  • Shimano Deore hydraulic brakes, nothing special but do the job
    
  • Love Mud Confucious loop bars, as new condition
    
  • 2x Surly Tuggnuts on the rear
    
    

Again, difficult to price but let's go for £530 posted.

Very interested in the 1x1. You don't happen to have a trip to London on the cards, and the energy to bring it along for a test spin? Realise that's a bit of an ask / long shot!!

How tall are you? In the photo's it's set up for me at 5ft 7 with a fairly upright position if that helps?

No worries! It does have a pretty short stem on at the moment so it does have a bit of scope to increase. I know this belonged to @cake many moons ago and not sure how tall they (he?) is /are...
