• So after a pretty devastating break-in I'm looking to do a fairly cheap-ish build to get me back on the road. I could go the cyclescheme route, I guess. But seeing if I can find anything on here first.

    1. Genesis CdF or similar ... steel frame ... the only thing is it needs to be fairly small (girl height) ... I'm 5'5" and usually ride an XS.
    2. 10 or 11 spd wheelset (bonus if its silver)
    3. 105 shifters (1o or 11 spd depending on wheelset)
    4. rear derailleur (1o or 11 spd depending on wheelset)
    5. Cdf carbon fork

    Hopefully something out there.

I'm still hanging on to hope that my bikes will turn up eventually.

    :(

    Cheers.

  • Sorry to hear about the break in, that’s properly crap.

I’ve got a Salsa Casseroll which might fit the bill? All steel, budget wheels and Ultegra groupset (flightdeck era) with Suntour XC cantis (self energising rear one apparently). It’s a 53 so not sure if that’d be too big, I’m 5ft 6ish for context...

Not really sure how much it’s worth - maybe £400?

  • I might sell the XS Surly ECR, dynamo'd alifine 11 build ..

  • Oooosh, that sounds tasty! Any pics @amey?!

  • Slightly too big ... the 50cm CdF just about fit me....

  • Oof that is tempting but pricey? Which colorway was it? How much?

its my missus' so would need her permission but she hardly rides it and we need space this year ..

  • Do it, R.

  • wow, thats damn cute.

  • Sorry to hear about the break-in, that's shit news.

  • thanks

    :(

i might get a day one off here and convert it to gears so also potentially looking for an 11spd wheelset and maybe a carbon fork (e.g. a Cdf one)
