FS: Mavic ellipse wheelset, BLB toe clips and straps

Mavic ellipse wheel set with loads of life left in them although the axel on the rear wheel has stripped and is fused into the hub. I couldn't manage to get it out and neither could the guy in Brixton Cycles, but you're welcome to take a punt on the wheel and try for yourself as I've got a new rear axel.

Nothing wrong with the front wheel at all, still super solid and true.

Rear wheel with new axel, £35
Front wheel, £70
Rear axel by itself, £15

Also have some BLB steel double braced toe clips, only used 10 times or so, £10

Same goes for BLB leather double straps with a load of life left in them, £10

Pick up from kennington evenings and weekends, Shoreditch in the week for the toe clips and straps.

Interested in the wheels. Is the rear cone the one that’s rounded or the axle nut?

The axle itself is stripped so it's not possible to tighten the nuts. It's obviously a common problem if you over tighten, but seems like a lot of people have had this issue with the ellipses especially. What dyou mean by rear cone?

Front wheel is provisionally sold, I'll update this if it falls through.

These aren't typical cone and nut systems. The axle is tighetened from one side by a cone that can be tightened/loosened by dual pin pliers. The same problem has happened to me and I've literally been through a set of pliers to try and remove them. Glws and sorry it happened to you aswell.

Thanks for the input dude! Yeah I've heard this is fairly common with ellipses. Other than that they were such great wheels.
