Andrew Bonham, 25, is still in a critical condition at St George's ICU and the outlook is very bad, according to reports on our club forum (London Dynamo).

Any news on his condition?

He passed away yesterday.
May he rest in peace, and may we continue to bear in mind how dangerous our sport can be.

RIP rider. This sucks. I used to go well out of my way to avoid using Parkside when I lived down there, guaranteed punishment passes (not to speculate anything).

Awful news, thoughts are with family and friends both having it all hanging over them for the holidays and then getting the worst of news.
RIP rider.

It is brutally unfair. One of the most kindhearted people you could meet. The family are taking donations for Headway charity in his name, they were a lifeline when the family were trying to come to grips with what Andrew was dealing with after the accident.
I have put a link to the charity below

So a friend noticed something that I'd completely missed in the news story, which was that police were looking for his Garmin. Does anyone know why that might have gone missing or if it has been found?
I still can't find any news article about it on-line.

Fuck man, this guy was in my year at school. He was an international-level sprint kayaker when we were younger. Such a waste.
Officers are appealing for witnesses following a collision between a car and a cyclist in Merton.
Police were called by the London Ambulance Service (LAS) at 7.08am on Thursday, 20 December following reports of a collision between a car and a cyclist on Parkside, Wimbledon.
The cyclist, a man in his 20s, was taken to a nearby hospital, where he remains, with life-threatening injuries.
