• I'm in the market for a new bike for commuting in London, using the Cyclescheme so the bike needs to be under £1000.

I'm set on a single speed/fixie bike but totally underwhelmed with the available choices. Nothing is turning my crank...haaaaa.

The big online stores have no selection really. (What has happened to the market?)

Smaller stores like BLB seem overpriced and not that great.

I love this bike but I can't find one in the UK -

    SIGH

Any help or information would be really helpful.

  • Pompino*. Dynamo hub. Discs. Mudguards. Saddlepack or similar.

    Thank me later.

*I might mean another of the On Ones with rear-facing ends. The one with disc tabs.

  • This might help you.

Check out @M_V ‘s Pomp on page 9 or 10

  • Would not want to commute on that Cannondale unless my commute was on pristine flat wooden boards.

The Capo I owned was too stiff and I imagine that track one will be many times stiffer.

Pompino is a great commuting bike. And can be made into pretty much anything else that takes your fancy if you stop commuting on it. Mine has been used for polo, touring, off roading...

  • Not interested in a Surly? At that price you can have one custom made to how you would like it if you don't go too crazy

  • Thanks for the info, guys!

  • Y u no Arkose?
