Sold.
My brother abandoned this at the parental abode and they have finally got fed up with hoovering around it, so please take it off our hands. I took the pix when it arrived at my place for a frame transplant, and neither this nor the Avanti which replaced it have been touched since, so there's two hours of wrenching I didn't need to have done. It does not have wheels, cranks or chain, just the fuselage. It was originally a Gorgeous Baby Blue ™ Harry Hall raced by my brother in the 90s at Reading, which got renovated by Argos to the condition you see here before doing a couple of winters of training sessions at Calshot. The fork is drilled for a brake and it has been TTed back in the day.
Dimensions by the rough tape measure method are 56cm centre to top on the seat tube and 57cm centre to centre on the top tube. The stem is a Cinelli 1A which I think is 11cm but all bets are off with stem measurement and I'm not pulling it out to check what number is stamped on the quill. The bars are Cinelli too, probably 67. I've been round the house and measured 4 different bars which are supposed to be 26.4mm, and by agreement I'd say these are too. Campagnolo Nuovo record headset, obvs. Seatpost is a San Marco in a pattern obviously influenced by contemporaneous Campag Victory/Triomphe, saddle is a scruffy but usable Selle Italia Flite of the original pattern.
Long story short, this just needs to go to a good home without causing me any more trouble than necessary, so I don't want to split and I don't want to post. Pick it up in Slough or meet me on my way home from work somewhere between W1 and SL, give me £100 and it's all yours.
