What rear end spacing do you have?
Is it a 120mm (classic track / FG), or an adapted 126 or 130mm?English (68mm) BB shell?

Hi, it’s a standard track hub, 120mm. Bb is 68 mm.

Going by spindle length isn’t accurate enough, they vary how much offset on the DS there is between the race and the taper.
I have a box of spindles and experiment til I find one that works.
I’d start with a 115mm. Too long? Get a 111mm and hope that if it’s not right, it’s not enough rather than still too far out, then use a spacer between the fixed cup and shell.

Excellent, that gives me a starting point.
Thanks for your help, it is appreciated.

115mm is almost certainly right.

Ok, so a quick update. I used a 111 mm Royce I had kicking around in the end and hey presto, perfect chainline!

Yep. I love Cliffs stuff, this one was from eBay a few years ago. Seller didn’t know if it was JIS or ISO. So I took a punt on the 111mm being correct, and it being ISO. It was cheap 😉
I’d like to use an 80’s fluted Strada crank on a build. Can anyone confirm the correct bb spindle length to get the correct chain line using the outer ring on the double c/set?
Rear hub is Royce track.
Thanks.
