I picked up my arkose complete with 105 for £350 posted I think. That was a year ago. Definitely doable

I’m 6”1ish and I’m on a medium so I wouldn’t suggest a large but I do like sizing down on frames. I’d think a medium would be good for someone 5”11. I’ve got a 120mm stem

Thanks, I spotted that too! Told my friend about it, let's see what he says... I think it might be a bit big, and it is currently a bit above his budget. Looks good overall, though - if I was in his position, I'd take it. (I'm also slightly taller though, I think for me the size would be perfect)

I'm potentially after something similar although sizewise I need a XS/48. Disc brakes a must and ideally a frame that can take 700s and 650Bs.
Budget up to £500
Hi guys, a friend of mine is looking for a cheap bike to replace his old commuter that is falling / has fallen apart.
The budget is ~£300 (not much, I know - but not my decision!). He's looking for a 'gravel bike', or possibly a road bike with clearance for wide tyres, and ideally some disc brakes. Something simple, sturdy, functional, in decent condition. He's ~180cm / ~5'11".
Any suggestions at all?
