Ok.
My recent top three places to cycle are:- My daily commute from Acton-Bermondsey taking in Quiet way 2, Cycle Superhighway 3, then Quietway 1 (The tourist trail taking in Portabello Road, Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace, Westminster, SouthBank, Borough.)
- Along the Thames Path from Putney Bridge to Kingston
- The river Lea from the Olympic Park (Velodrome) to Waltham Cross.

Whichever pub hippy is in, obviously.

No, really @Startuptrolley Hippy is a world Champ!

Might be a bit cliche to a lot of residents but:
-Swain’s Lane in North London
-Westwood Park in South London
-Look Mum No Hands bicycle cafe
-Burgess Park BMX track
-Herne Hill (I'd check timetable for this and above if you actually want to participate in any activities)
-Olympic Velodrome
-Q1 (iconic, especially if you spot Skully) -

-Q1 (iconic, especially if you spot Skully)
EVEN if I go outside my Q1 bubble, I think its a great route with Greenwich at the other end ..

I’d say for getting to Greenwich Q14 rivals Q1, once they get all the way-finding complete.

especially if you spot Skully
Or amey... The only 2 people on Q1 in the morning not wearing a helmet

Are you going on holidays or staying for a bit? If it's for the holidays I would forget about the cycling bits, it's a bit like going to Las Vegas and ask which libraries you should visit.

• #16

going to Las Vegas and ask which libraries you should visit.
I went cycling in Las Vegas. It was better than casinos.
(MTB and road riding in the canyons.)

I don't live in London anymore, so my perspective has shifted quite a lot. To be honest I have some amazing memories of riding in London, but it's not really the city where you can have a relaxed ride enjoying the skyline, the architecture and the life around you. Exceptions apply, of course. The Thames path, as mentioned by @skydancer, was a favourite (Hampton Court to Richmond usually in my case).

Grand union canal is alot of fun.. but can be a bit rough outer London.
Richmond park still takes my breathe away.
Regents park is the mecca for central laps.
Coffee at rapha or lmnh
Hi Guys,
I am new to the city and where are places a cyclist need to visit at least once in London?
Place such as Hern Hill Velodrome?
