  • Real nice! What glass you using?

  • Have been working a bit on these on wood rather than Glass

An 8ft x 4ft sign for Grow in Hackney Wick

A sign for the door of the studio:

    Some 3D bevel finish work:

Edit: might be able to paint a sign but I can’t remove watermarks from photobucket... Luddite

  • It depends on the size, 3/4/6mm float glass. Had some issues with 2mm when i was learning so dont even look at that now unless its pretty small.

  • LOLLLZZZ, you can upload straight onto here although I can only manage one per post for some reason.

Lovely stuff mate, your casual script is class.

  • Can never get it to work :-/

Cheers, spent about 3weeks straight drawing the line practice, pays off in the end.

    where you working from?

  • Glasgow I'm up in, Just setting up a workshop myself as I can work at home anymore and 1st thing on the agenda is nail my casual script.

  • ah nice, I am from the southside originally, Newton Mearns.

  • Bloody hell, small world. I’m from Glasgow but have lived in London although back up here and happier.

  • Gave you a follow Manson.

  • Me and LadyLiz spend a lot of time at Dharma Tattoo on Roman Rd market.
This request just popped up on their insta and thought it might be of interest to someone on this thread..

  • Wonder what they want, the only trading signs for tattoos is common although thats wasted on me since I have fuck all and wouldnt start.

  • Nice to see a thread on this stuff. While I don't do any sign writing anymore - I dabbled a while back but couldn't find the time to get to a level where I was proud of my work. I recently donated a tonne of one-shot to a lady who was getting into it which felt good. I still hope to pick it back up...

I have been documenting sign writing/generally nice type and signage over on instagram for a while now: https://www.instagram.com/letttters/

  • Meeting with them on Friday, cheers for the heads up!
