Awful news. Condolences to this rider’s loved ones. We’ve been waiting too long for protected space on this road. So, so sad and angry about this

Was a segregated lane planned for this road then? I see Andrew Gilligan is tweeting about it and claiming something along those lines.

Seen a tweet that claims this was an 82-year-old man. Can’t see that confirmed by police yet, but terribly sad if so.

RIP fellow rider, Such terrible news.

This is the worst spot on my daily commute, that's where right turning cars cross a queue of cars in order to get into McDonalds. In 12 years I have had a few close ones there. If anyone knows who to lobby to stop the traffic crossing the queue for the zebra crossing I'd like to know.

This isn’t really the place for campaigning, but I would urge you to get in touch with LCC. CS4 should have made this area safe by now and they’re pushing for it. Evening Standard picked up on that in recent story.
