Get a 1x10 second hand mtb groupset from ebay. It'll be cheaper and less faff than trying to make road bits work with mtb levers.

As far as i am aware you would only need to change the front derailleur, if you change to mtb shifters your rear derailleur should still work fine, but the front has a different pull ratio.

Everything 8spd and below is compatible with each other

Rs505. That's 11 speed 105. Different pull ratio to 10/11 speed mtb. Will not work.

Oops! should have clicked a hydro group would be 11spd

Maybe consider changing the bars to something more suitable for off-road, like some wide flared drops?

Sorted
Hi
I am considering converting my drop bars to flat bar
I have Shimano 105 set up with RS505 Hydraulic Disc, ST-RS505 shifters on BR-RS505 hydraulic brakes
Online research suggests changing levers is possible - but also says not compatible ... where or how do I find this out - or any suggestions
Thanks
