Bringing my Pinarello back to life

Posted on
  • I have neglected my Pinarello Prestige for too many years, mainly because of a stuck seat post. I dug it out of the shed today stripped it of its parts and gave it good clean. It’s come up well with the exception of the front forks, the chrome is not in a good condition and will need rechroming.

The stem also is stuck, i’m not sure if either stem or seatpost (which was at the right height) can be shifted. Any tips on how to do this would be helpful!

Plan is to clean up th Campagnolo Record groupset that was on here, and source some matching brakes. The wheels were hand built by myself, Campagnolo Record hubs with Mavic CXP33 rims, they’re worn and need rebuilding.

Any thoughts / comments on this, tips or advice would be appreciated!
