Seriously nice. Obligatory dibs if ever selling and/or frame shrinking.

I was shocked - offered to buy it too but this was turned down!
Not sure what I’m going to do build wise yet as I have the muddy fox project on the go too. May start with a strip down first and go from there -

Old frames with new kit make me think of badly chavved up old cars, and not in a good way...
15sp friction all the way -

Jesus H Christ! Wish I had friends like that. Lovely frame, not sure about new group set, but would look great with vintage/retro triple and downtube shifters. Look forward to seeing progress.

Very lovely! I've got an older Mercian vincitore special, and it has a 1994 veloce group on it that I had knocking about..... whatever, it will be lovely!
Anyone else up for a Mercian ride to the shop in Derbyshire? Or train up, shop visit, ride/camp home? -

Found a campagnolo pista B.B. in my parts box and got some nos record triple cranks off eBay.
Atlanta wheels with silver record 10/11 hubs were also an eBay bargain. Room for 40mm wide tyres on this so they’ll be sourced at some point. Need a 100mm silver quill stem and 44cc bars if anyone has any?

• #23
Imo this will look way better without gumwalls.

Very nice frame, but why build it up as a flat bar town bike? This derserves its intended life as a fast credit card tourer or audax bicycle...

Because it’s too long in the tt for me to put drops on it. I have 3 other bikes with drops so this is something a bit different.
After the dynamo (which I did in the day time with a tail wind so effectively cheated) we drove to Norwich to stay with friends where the host unexpectedly and extremely generously gave me this from his stash!!! Build recommendations welcomed 😎
