Campagnolo Bottom Bracket Axle / Spindle

Hi,

Looking for the above as I purchased one for a current project which is at my local bike shop but apparently it is too short, so there is no space left either side to attach the lock ring ect.

Gent from the shop told me that my record one (80's with the globe / world logo) was 50mm between the races and needs to be 55mm in order to attach the lock ring.

I think the current one I gave him length wise was 114mm / 115mm overall. Its for a super record double crank. Sorry to be annoyingly vague, all the parts are down the shop!

Any help or required part greatly appreciated.

It may be a thick cup / thin cup mix up? Or possibly a UK axle in an Italian shell. Is it a 70mm Italian BB?

Its definitely 68 SS (Strada), but now you mention it I think he did say that I could potentially have a mixed setup regarding the cups and the main axle. I purchased it off eBay a while back now so I guess the seller could have mashed two sets together.

Is there anything stamped onto the front face of the cups.... like a thread size?
