These are absolutely cracking lenses - got the AF-S version of this. It's bonkers sharp even wide open. Bargain.

It was made between the 1993 and 1997.

Would this work with a D80? (Pretty sure it would, but wanted to be sure)

All Nikon lenses/mounts should work with any Nikon DSLRs. They didn't change their mount when they brought in digital cameras so it should be fine.

@ExCameramanJim Yup - will be fine. I’ve used it with a D300 (same generation as D80) and a D810. As @Tonts said, all Nikon lenses work on all Nikon bodies. Some of the really old manual focus ones, you have to manually change the aperture on the ring, but they still work fine even on current pro bodies.
Hi there,
Don't really use this anymore, so if anyone wants a pro standard long lens without the £1k+ price tag, this is a good shout. Pretty much the same optical quality as 70-200m but without the image stabilisation (which most people don't really need, to be honest).
Not sure how old it is - got it second hand - but it's all in perfect working order.
Just moved out of London, so pick up would be Wembley, Great Missenden, or could possibly tie it in to an HHV visit? Otherwise happy to post at cost - would be about £10 I think.
